What is a Cone ?

A cone is a three-dimensional geometric shape with a circular base and a pointed top, called the apex. The sides of a cone curve from the base to the apex, forming a conical shape.

The formula for calculating the surface area (SA) of a cone is given by:

SA = π x r x (r +√ (h2+r2))

where:

  • SA is the surface area of the cone
  • π (pi) is a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14159265359
  • r is the radius of the base of the cone.
  • h is the height of the cone, measured perpendicular to the base.

To use the formula, simply plug in the values for the radius and height of the cone, and then calculate the result. Remember to use consistent units for your measurements
