What is a Pyramid ?

A pyramid is a three-dimensional geometric shape with a polygonal base and triangular faces that converge at a single point called the apex. The most common type of pyramid is a square pyramid, which has a square base.

The formula for the volume of a pyramid is:

V = 1/3 x l x w x h

where:

  • V is the volume of the pyramid
  • l is the length of the base (one side of the rectangle).
  • w is the width of the base (the other side of the rectangle).
  • h is the height of the pyramid.

To use the formula, simply plug in the values for the length, width, and height of the box, and then calculate the result.
