Pebibyte Per Second (PiBps) - Definition and Overview
PiBps unit of measurement used to express the rate at which data is transferred from one location to another in a data network.
When data transfer rates are expressed in Pebibyte Per Second, it means that the amount of data being transferred is measured in terms of Pebibytes over a period of one Second.
One Pebibyte is equal to 2^50 or 1024^5 Bytes. 1 Pebibyte = 1024 Tebibytes. Pebibyte is a binary unit defined as per IEC standard. The unit symbol for Pebibyte is PiB. Pebibyte is not same as Petabyte (PB) that contains 1000^5 bytes. 1024 Pebibytes = 1 Exbibyte (EiB).
