Terabit Per Hour (Tbit/Hr) - Definition and Overview

Tbit/Hr unit of measurement used to express the rate at which data is transferred from one location to another in a data network.

When data transfer rates are expressed in Terabit Per Hour, it means that the amount of data being transferred is measured in terms of Terabits over a period of one Hour.

One Terabit is equal to 10^12 or 1000^4 Bits. Terabit is a decimal unit defined as per SI standard. 1000 Gigabits = 1 Terabit. The unit symbol for Terabit is Tbit or Tb. Terabit is not same as Tebibit (Tib) that contains 1024^4 bits. 1000 Terabit = 1 Petabit (Pbit).

Byte Per Hour (B/Hr) - Definition and Overview

B/Hr unit of measurement used to express the rate at which data is transferred from one location to another in a data network.

When data transfer rates are expressed in Byte Per Hour, it means that the amount of data being transferred is measured in terms of Bytes over a period of one Hour.

Byte is a unit of digital information that most commonly consists of eight bits. A single byte can be used to represent 256 different values. 1000 bytes = 1 Kilobyte (KB). 1024 bytes = 1 Kibibyte (KiB).

How to Convert Terabit to Byte?

1 Terabit is equal to 125000000000 Byte. To convert Terabit to Byte, use this simple formula:

Byte = Terabit x 125000000000

So, just multiply the number of Terabit by 125000000000 to get equivalent value in Byte.

Example 1:

Convert 5 Terabit to Byte
5 x 125000000000 = 625000000000 Byte

Example 2:

Convert 7.5 Terabit to Byte
7.5 x 125000000000 = 937500000000 Byte
